V!VA User‘s Description

This place is set back from the highway and feels like it's in the middle of nowhere. It is a great spot to get away from it all and has several buildings dotted around a forested site, includig a library, a hexagonal hammock gazebo, a large communal eating area and an on-site iguana sanctuary. It was built as a place for interns at the nearly wildlife sanctuary (which is closed to the general public) and offers basic accomodation, although it can get a little hot as there are no fans and while there are no mosquito nets, there are plenty of other bugs around to watch out for.

Getting There:
just after the turn-off to the Coastal Highway on the Western Highway from Belize City to Belmopan

Room Prices:
Lower:Dorm BZ$20 per person
Higher:Twin in cabaña BZ $50
