Simply hiring a kayak by yourself and setting off may be a little unrewarding, but it does come with a sense of peacefulness as you paddle and potter through the water. There are two choices: heading out to sea or cruising in the lagoon. Toadal Adventure (www.toadaladventure.com) can offer ideas and guided trips to make the outing more interesting, including visits to deserted islands or down jungle rivers.
Kayaks are around BZ$70 a day to hire. Check with individual companies for guided tour pricing.
