Accommodation is of a general high standard across the board in Cahuita, with most places within the same moderate price range, offering clean private rooms for couples or small groups. Almost everywhere has private bathrooms; some with hot water, and more and more are getting A/C and cooking facilities. Breakfasts are not included, and most staff speak English. There are as yet very few shoestring-budget places or dormitories, and single travelers may find it difficult on a strict budget. Many cabinas are located just west of the National Park entrance, and high priced rooms tend to be found along the quieter Playa Negra Black beach.
