Hotel

The town itself is pretty nice, though Puerto Viejo is much nicer and feels safer. A good stop for a day. This particular hotel was a disaster. $50 for a lousy room (don't take the first one they show you). In the evening there was a fight in the lobby between the guy working and a local, which boiled out into the street, making it a bit intimidating for us to go back inside. Locals hung out in the hallway, talking very loudly until the wee hoursy. Overall it was a miserable experience for us. The location, right on the park, was perfect, but I would stay at the great cabinas across the street (they were full while we were there). The restaurant across the street has great food at decent prices.
