Restaurants in Cahuita are of a general high standard, serving tasty, good quality meals. Many places are certified as using 100% natural products, and take great pride in the dishes they serve. Quality comes at a cost though, and even the budget places are more expensive than you would find in other towns. Fish and seafood are the main specialties here, along with traditional Caribbean dishes. For a small town there is a lot of variety, and you can also choose to eat in Chinese, Italian and Spanish restaurants. Many restaurants have a surprisingly good selection of vegetarian dishes on offer.
