Dotted all along Cocles’ magnificent, picture-perfect coastline are a variety of lodges, bungalows, hotels and cabinas. Accommodation in this area is very clean, well-furnished and of a general high standard, and naturally prices are higher than in Puerto Viejo. Budget accommodation is few and far between, but there are some low cost cabins around. Most common here are private bungalows set back in the peace of the jungle yet still only minutes from the beach, offering tours from the comfort of the resort. Many of the hotels here also support a local program contracting young locals to be trained and work as lifeguards on Cocles beach.
