Hotel Puerto Viejo

This popular, well known backpacker place has recently changed hands and been renovated, now with a big wooden communal area by the shared kitchen. The wooden cabins sleep up to six, have hot water all day in shared bathrooms and are surrounded by relaxing gardens. Prices are generally $10 per person, but this is negotiable if you're staying more than a few days. Longer term accommodation is available. The staff is friendly, there is a guard at night, and parking is secure.
