Bread and Chocolate - Restaurant Puerto Viejo - Costa Rica

Named after the two things it does best, Bread and Chocolate is popular with ex-pats and tourists looking for something bit more like home. They serve up a great selection of sandwiches, snacks and excellent breakfasts, including fried eggs and cheese on wholegrain bagels, with bacon and saut├ęed potatoes or fruit for $5.50. Not one of the cheapest places around but well worth treating yourself. Try the rich chocolate and mint brownies for $1.50. Open 6am to 2pm, closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
