Cafe Rico

Tucked away behind El Parquecito, this lovely café is surrounded by tropical plants and full of atmosphere. You'll feel instantly welcome going into the open, wooden café to order your (highly recommended) breakfast plate and freshly brewed coffee. Most popular is the "Ana Rosa," a special that includes potatoes, eggs, cheese, bacon and avocado ($5).  Accommodation, book exchange, surf and bike rental and laundry services are also on offer. Look out for tropical frogs in the garden and the sloth, who occasionally naps in the tree outside.

Open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., but closed on Wednesdays.

Traveler Reviews of Cafe Rico

Cafe Rico Rocks

Cafe Rico was affordable ($35 per night), had great amenities (free bikes to ride, kayaks, snorkeling gear,  free laundry) and was just a block from the center of town.  Felt safe walking at night and Roger, the owner, was great. He also has the best location with really good food in the center of town.
