La Fortuna de San Carlos,  or simply La Fortuna, is the general starting point for visiting the Arenal Volcano, and features its own attractions, such as the Tabacon hotsprings. Naturally heated by Arenal, offers a pleasurable vantage point to experience the volcano's nocturnal fireworks.
