Rio Fortuna Waterfall
Aside from the volcano this high waterfall is one of La Fortuna's main
attractions. A steep walk through rainforest, where you may see toucans, takes you down to the huge pool where you can watch the water cascading powerfully down the green moss-covered rocks. It is too dangerous to swim here but there is a chilly swimming hole to the left of the falls where there is a natural jacuzzi made by the flowing water.

Hike to Waterfall
A beautiful hike from Cerro Chato Eco-Lodge. Good views of Arenal Volcano and the luscious countryside. The swimming hole near the waterfall is more than refreshing and will energize you for your return hike.
