In a Latin American country, it is all right to make the general assumption that buses might not always run on time or might not even be there when a schedule says it will. But, in a forward-thinking act, check out http://www.thebusschedule.com for a compilation of bus schedules for around the country. Certainly a very handy tool, but keep in mind -especially during rainy season- that a bus getting stuck in the mud and arriving a few hours late is always a possibility.
