There is no shortage of tour operators in Puerto Jimenez. Two of the best are Toucan Travel (Tel: 2 735-5836, E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org, URL: www.toucan-travel.com, Open: 7:30a.m.-12 p.m. and 1p.m.-4p.m. Mon.-Sat.) and Cafenet El Sol (Tel: 2 735-5702, URL: www.soldeosa.com), both located along the main strip. These agencies each offer a good variety of tour choices at reasonable prices. Escondido Trex inside Restaurante Carolina and Rio Nuevo Tours right beside it offer most of the same tours, but the prices and the information they provide are not as desirable.
The following is a list of the most popular and common tours in / out of Jimenez: snorkeling or scuba diving (careful, some of these trips go all the way out to Isla del Cano in Drake's Bay), birdwatching, horseback riding, dolphin and whale watching, inshore and offshore sport fishing, kayaking, crocodile observation, tree climbing, waterfall rappelling, Herrera Botanical Gardens, canopy, panning for gold, and day trips to Carate, Cabo Matapalo or Corcovado Park.
