When To Go

Montezuma maintains its laid-back vibe year-round, though things are definitely a bit livelier in the high season (December-April). In the rainy season (August-November) there are fewer people, but a number of establishments close for these months. There are two popular festivals to look out for, one is the Montezuma International Film Festival held in November. This festival gets larger every year as it draws in more movies and tourists. The Festival de Arte Chunches de Mar is held during the month of January. Local and International artists come together to share art and ideas while camping on the beach.
