When To Go

Tamarindo’s party scene explodes in high season, which generally runs from December to around May. Christmas and New Year are incredibly busy – as is Easter weekend, which gets booked up months in advance. A popular spring break destination, students flock to the town throughout March to drink and surf. Visitors arriving in low season will find they pretty much have the place to themselves, but if you’re looking for cheaper prices and don’t want to have to elbow your way in to the best surf spots then this is a good time to go.
