Pirate Cove

Pirate Cove is a comfortable, well-maintained lodge about a 30-minute walk from the center of Agujitas. The lodge sits right behind a juncture between river and ocean, so you can go swimming or take a kayak out whenever you like. Pirate Cove provides three, delicious meals a day and offers the full range of tours, guided by friendly, bilingual staff. It also offers PADI certification, and birders will be pleased to know that one of the staff members here has authored his own book on the birds of this region. Rooms are decorated in regal red and gold and have ample space, hot water and a private deck. There is a pay-by-item laundry service available (although it's rather pricey). Pirate Cove is eco-conscious and asks its guests to help when they can in conserving water and electricity.
