Kapu has three, vibrant cabins set among beautiful tropical gardens and fruit trees, within view of Playa Matapalo. It's formal name, which means “Almond Ranch,” comes from the lodge's efforts to reforest almond trees, providing an important food source to the endangered scarlet macaw. The lodge focuses on sustainability, using solar power and growing its own fruits and vegetables. The most luxurious cabin, the two-story Honeymoon Cabina, is equipped with a kitchen and indoor private baths and includes cleaning service. It costs $135 a night and can fit up to four people. The Main Rancho runs $125 a night, can fit up to six people and also includes a kitchen, cleaning service and private bath, although the shower is outdoor. The smallest cabin, built for two, is the Ranchito Cabina, which has a private bath but no kitchen and costs only $50 a night. You can pay an additional $90 per person per day to have your meals prepared for you. Discounts are provided for large groups or stays over a week.
