A couple of the big hotels in Matapalo can provide or arrange tours. One of the only independent tour operators in town is Everyday Adventures, run out of Verde Sueno beach house rentals. Biologist Andy Pruter, an expat from California, conducts rainforest treks, tree climbing on giant strangler figs and waterfall rapelling.
Casa Tres Pesces can arrange a variety of tours, such as surf lessons, horseback riding and sport fishing, although they do not conduct all of the tours themselves.
Transporte Maritimo Luis Miguel does full ($450) or half-day($250) sport fishing trips and dolphin watching tours ($250).
