Because of the remoteness of the area, lodgings in Carate consist almost exclusively of all-inclusive, higher-end ecolodges. There are two budget places in Carate that take walk-ins only (because they have no phone lines to take reservations) - Cabinas Carate, located at the pulperia, and Carate Jungle Camp, about 1km before the pulperia.
