La Leona, close to the ranger's station, has 84 acres of private jungle and beach property for guests to enjoy. Accommodations are more rustic than most ecolodges in the area, but comfortable. Sixteen large tents equipped with double beds are set on wooden platforms beneath larger, tented pavilions. Each pavilion also has an attached deck portion with lawn chairs. Six of the tent-cabins have private, tiled bathrooms with miniature gardens, while the others make use of shared facilities. At this lodge you can chose to pay for two or three meals a day, or pay only for the accommodations. Tours can be arranged. Prices vary slightly from high to low season – the rates listed here are for high season.
