This jungly campsite provides plenty of comfort and great access to the golfo dulce, mangroves and rain forest. Chose between two bungalows with private bath that fit four people each, a modern, spacious tent with two twin beds and a big private bath mosaicked with seashells ($30, includes three meals), a simple tent on a covered platform ($10 with shared baths), or pitch your own tent on the lawn for $5. Meals can be prepared on-site, or you can walk to the restaurant up the road. El Chontal welcomes student groups and leads tours around the gulf, jungle walks on the nearby trail and dolphin watching excursions.
