Sports fishing is excellent all around the Osa, and Puerto Jimenez is no exception. Just fishing inshore in the Golfo Dulce you can hope to snag snapper, grouper, pampano, roosterfish, jack, amberjack and snook. If you go deep sea you may catch sailfish, marlin, wahoo, tuna and dorado. Most tour operators offer fishing expeditions, and a few of the exclusive lodges like Crocodile Bay Resort and Parrot Bay specialize in sports fishing trips. Inshore and deep sea tours start at around $500 for a full-day trip.
