When to Go

Rainy season is from April to October, with May and October being the wettest months. Hotel prices will be cheaper during this time, but if you are interested in take a trip from Jimenez to Corcovado National Park, be warned that some trails may be closed during low season.
High season is from November to March. Many high-end lodges have the highest prices during the month of December.
From June 19-21, 2009 the Rainforest Aid Summer Solstice Music Festival will be held in La Palma and will feature more than 15 different musical groups. The festival is being held as a fundraiser to help preserve the rain forests of the Osa Peninsula, especially Corcovado National Park.
