Most boat tours will be of the Rio Coto River and mangroves, although some operators also go to the Golfo Dulce. Whale watching tours are available if you visit Zancudo anytime from September to December, and you can go dolphin watching all year round. Eladio Gonzalez offers four-hour dolphin tours. Zancudo Lodge has its own marina, and though its specialty is sports fishing, it also conducts a variety of boating excursions. This area of the coast is also good for sailing, but few people offer sailing trips.
