You won't find a bank or an ATM here, but you can take out cash at the grocery store for a small service fee.
Keeping in Touch
When you come to Zancudo, it's better to forget about the outside world for a few days and commit yourself to total relaxation, but if you simply must make a phone call there are public phones in front of the Bella Vista grocery store, and phone cards are sold inside. Internet is a little trickier - during the high season, the Oceano hotel offers internet access. Sol y Mar has Wifi, and El Coquito has one computer hooked up guests can use.
Medical
There are no hospitals or pharmacies in Zancudo – the closest medical facilities are in Golfito, half an hour away by boat. You can pick up a few medical basics, such as cough syrup, and beauty supplies at mini-tienda Gabi across from El Coquito near the docks.
Religion
Iglesia el Deseado de las Naciones lies several meters past the police station. Iglesia Luz del Mundo sits a little ways past Bella Vista grocery on the opposite side of the street.
