V!VA User‘s Description
Overview
This impressive cloud forest is the main reason to come to the Monteverde area. The pricey entrance fee buys you a map and instructions on the best walks to do in the amount of time you have. There is a circular route through many different types of forest to viewpoints and over a canopy bridge which takes around 2hrs and a round-trip to a waterfall which takes 45mins. There is not much wildlife but a guide may help find some animals amongst the trees.
Cost
Local bus 600 Colones/US$1.20 Round Trip,
