Hotel

By Caroline Bennett

For an exotic experience, splurge on a night at the Moana Lodge, where African motif and dazzling tribal masks adorn every corner of spacious rooms with ocean views. Four deluxe rooms and three standard rooms- all but one with a queen and single bed- are scattered about lush tropical gardens in three multilevel buildings, all with air conditioning, private porch, hot water shower, queen size bed, orthopedic mattresses, night stand, and in-room safe. There is no restaurant here, but you can cook dinner while surrounded by lush tropical gardens in the central communal kitchen, or have breakfast while hummingbirds and howler monkeys hover overhead. A freeform swimming pool and Jacuzzi form a meeting point in the center of the compound, while imported Zulu shields, African hangings and zebra hides will make your stay hard to forget.
