Transportation

V!VA User‘s Description

Getting here isn't particularly easy, but the journey is beautiful and a little legwork helps keep crowds down. The fastest and most scenic way to get to Playa Santa Teresa is to take the ferry from Puntarenas to Paquera or Naranjo, where buses await the boats. There are also direct buses from San José to Mal País and Santa Teresa, and a 25 minute flight to Tambor. From here Santa Teresa is less than an hour away by taxi or bus.
