Buses from the main terminal in Turrialba leave for Guayabo and return to Turrialba three times a day Monday through Saturday. Times vary so check the board in the terminal. The best time to take the public bus is Sunday, which will give you about two hours to explore the Monument, plenty of time. On Sunday buses leave for Guayabo at 9 a.m., 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.. Buses return to Turrialba at 6:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 4 p.m.. The duration is approximately 45 minutes. If taking a taxi, hire one in the bus terminal. If driving, parking is available but limited.
