Right on the main Obispo strip, a stay at Hotel Florida puts you right at the center of things in Havana Vieja. Originally built in 1836, this well-renovated building features grand and light, airy common areas that are decorated in a classic style with tall pillars throughout. Rooms are large and tastefully decorated with private bathroom. Some bathrooms feature a tub. The restaurant has a buffet breakfast, or choose from the menu. For those not staying, this hotel offers Internet anyway in a dingy upstairs room for 6 CUC per hour. To stay in the hotel in the high season costs 100 CUC for a single or 160 for a double. Low season is a bit cheaper at 85 and 130 respectively.
