Lover’s clearly has a place in the heart of many Santa Ana locals and visitors - it has been drawing a loyal following since it opened up in 1992. The main menu attractions are great steaks and grill platters (US $9-22), and also the wide range of seafood dishes (chowders, cocktails, and ceviches, plus a number of variations on lobster and shrimp – with prices up to $20). Generic Mexican, Chinese and Italian dishes are also available, as well as sandwiches and burgers (US $5-7) for lunch. Lover’s is now offering a selection of reasonable breakfast dishes (all including coffee) at US $2.50-3.50 starting at 7am.
The ambiance is convivial and welcoming, with twinkling fairy lights inside the spacious indoor dining area, and lanterns out in courtyard, where many customers go to enjoy a generous Lover’s cocktail (US $3.50–7). Wine, beer and juices are also available and all drinks seem to come with a complimentary bocadillo (small appetizer), served up by the attentive and extremely efficient waiting staff.
Lover’s occasionally has live music and can also be hired out for large-scale events.
