The Yellow House

A small, quiet, clean hostel with friendly staff, Yellow House is a favorite among budget travelers. Only two blocks from the fruit and vegetable market and close to ruins and typical eateries. The doubles and single have cable TV. There are various sized dorms with lockers, shared bathrooms with solar-powered showers and a tiny kitchen. There is a shady patio where an ample breakfast is served and a relaxing rooftop terrace with hammocks and impressive volcano views. Get there early as beds fill up quickly.

I would recommend to everyone!

Hola Travelers! The Yellow House Hostel is wonderful! Clean rooms and friendly staff, with immaculate bathrooms and hot showers! The beds are so comfortable and the breakfast is awesome! It´s big, not just some bread and coffee, it´s huge! They are also friendly and will help you with anything. It´s very safe at night! A 10!

The Yellow House

It took about 8 emails to Yellow House to finally get a reservation but when we arrived there at 10 pm they didn't have a room for us, even though we called from the Guatemala City airport and confirmed our arrival and were told everything was OK. They did not provide us with a room or any kind of help in finding acommodation at 11 pm. It was a terrible experience and very bad service

The perfect little hostel

During my search for an apartment in Antigua I stayed 2 months in Yellow House and the friendly owners and staff always made me feel at home. The rooftop view of 3 volcanoes is spectacular and the healthy breakfast excellent. An ultra clean, safe and welcoming hostel which I'll revisit for as long as I'm living in Antigua.

we really enjoyed our stay at yellow house. the hostel was clean and comfortable, it felt like my home while we were in antigua. we´ve stayed eight nights & the breakfast has been worth it alone. the rooms lovely & lovely spaces to chill. the owners did their best to make our stay as pleasant as possible, were very warm, welcoming, and attentive to any needs. a nice place to stay! A god deal

We stayed at the Yellow House, loved it! Our room on the top of the house was quaint and offered beautiful views of the volcano from the window every morning. The breakfast was also always very good. For 8$ a night this is a god deal.

this hotel was not good

this hotel was dirty and noisy. the bathrooms are disgusting and the hotel is on a road where all the buses and big trucks pass all day long...DUST and more DUST and CO2!

Yellow House is a great deal!

After reviewing several hotel rating services/comments in Antigua, we decided to stay at the Yellow House in Antigua Guatemala. The city offers many nice hostals but this one was great. It's location is fabulous, the hotel is super clean, helpful AND friendly front desk staff, courteous doorman/bellman. The staff is excellent in all regards and couldn't have been more helpful. From the impeccably ketp rooms to the bountiful continental breakfast the Yellow House never disappoints us. We will be back on our next trip Guatemala.!! Jim and Alison Keller
