El Sapo y La Rana - Restaurant Antigua - Guatemala

This cheap, simple Salvadorian pupuser├şa fronts the main drag a few blocks from the market. The food is far tastier than the name El Sapo y La Rana (The Toad and The Frog) would suggest, and the joint's great value combos include deals like two pupusas and a soda for about $3, or with a local beer for a dollar more. You can choose from a selection of tasty pupusa fillings like cheese, chorizo, chicharr├│n (fried pork crackling), chicken and jalape├▒os. If you feel like something more familiar, you can also try the hamburgers, sandwiches and grilled meat. Radio music plays in the background and the menu is bilingual. Open 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Closed Tuesdays.
