Santo Tomás is as good as it gets in Chichicastenango: located in an attractive white building centered around two delightful courtyards—complete with bilingual parrots. There is even a heated swimming pool. All the rooms have a fireplace, a big bathroom with bathtub, and solid wooden furniture. There is a restaurant and full lounge-bar open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. as well as a bookshop with tourist information. Santo Tomás is often booked for tour groups so it's wise to call ahead for a reservation.
