This museum is widely regarded as the best museum on Mayan culture in the world. It documents the country’s vibrant past and helps encourage conservation of Guatemala’s culture and heritage. Different rooms show various aspects of the country’s history; some are filled with Mayan relics and others are filled with stone carved monuments that depict some of the ancient civilization’s most defining moments.
