Reuextreme, which is based out of Guatemala City but also has an office in Reu, offers tours of Manchón Guamuchal Wetlands and a variety of activities including river rafting, kayaking and mountain biking. Several fincas in the area around Retalhuleu include tours of the coffee farm, hiking and bird watching. At Monterrico and Tilapa, there are boat tours of the mangroves and waterways, nesting turtle tours and horse rides up the beach. Otherwise it is a question of doing it yourself or coming with one of the tour operators in Antigua, Xela and Guatemala City who include the Pacific Coast on their list of attractions.
