Location:
San Pedro la Laguna, Guatemala
Hiking
V!VA User‘s Description
Facing the lake in the centre of San Pedro head left and stick to the main road all the way to the next settlement, San Juan. Walk through the streets until you are out on the other side of the small village and you will see a well-marked path heading up the hill. A short but slightly steep climb will put you on top to a clearing where you head right to a cross and a small statue. From there you can enjoy a fantastic 360-degree view of the lake, San Pedro and the volcanoes and mountains all around. At the time of writing this was safe to do on your own, but check in town for the latest updates.
Getting There
15mins walk from San Pedro to San Juan, 30 mins up the hill.
