Casa Madeleine is a true boutique hotel that is immaculately clean. There are beautiful gardens, the place is peaceful, very relaxing and romantic. The spa is first class.
I just returned from the most amazing experience, my first ever visit to Central America. Guatemala is a very historically rich, culturally diverse country with the most amazing views. I was surprised and overwhelmed with the many volcanos that circle the city of Antigua. Despite this fact, I learned that if I were to design a home in Guatemala it would be a replica of Casa Madeleine. The warm embrace of its rustic elegance and the many artisan details captured my artistic soul and curious eyes. Every morning we had a choice of a various breakfast selections from continental to typical Guatemalan to the exotic Greek breakfast. Everything I tried was delicious, and oh the fresh organic Guatemalan coffee...yummy. The team of employees at Casa Madeleine made every effort to make sure we had our tours in order, car service booked and thought in advance of what we may need. Their friendly smiling faces and the personalized attention made our stay in Antigua most memorable. We also ventured and toured Lake Atitlan, Tikal-Peten and Chichicastenango . With each day trip or overnight adventure, we looked forward to our return to Casa Madeleine, like a warm cup of tea it hit the right spot. The hotel room was approximately US$100 plus a night; we booked all our tours and transportation through them. Overall, it was truly the highlight of our vacation. You must stay and experience this wonderful Casa.
