Sailing passage to Honduras or Belize, from Rio Dulce. Budget $50p/p per day.

This is not easy to do but with a bit of persistence it is possible to secure a place on a yacht bound for either Belize or Honduras' Bay Islands from one of the many marinas in Rio Dulce. Most yachties in this area head here for a while before going out to sea, and the best way to catch one is by getting on the boat-wide radio at 7.30am and making an announcement. Brunos, as well as other hostels with a radio, will be able to assist.
