When To Go

Río Dulce is hot and sweaty most of the year but the occasional rain, usually in the afternoon or overnight, helps to freshen things up. You can also escape the heat staying at the hotels on the waterfront. Dry season is November through April and the wet season from May through October, which helps to keep the green vegetation very lush. Hurricanes generally occur between June and November and Río Dulce presents a safe place to escape the storms in the Caribbean.
