Livingston is a place to slow down, relax and unwind as the locals do. There isn’t a great deal to do here, but it is a fascinating place to experience the mix of Garifuna (Black Crib) and Q’eqchi Maya culture, and you’ll have enough to keep you busy if you spend a few days soaking up the chill-out vibe, visit a beach and the waterfalls, as well as throwing in tour to, for example: the Belize barrier Reef or Punta Manabique. There some bars on the high street, where there is often live music, as well as a couple of clubs but beware of the locals begging for a beer.
