Beaches - Beach Livingston - Guatemala

Despite being on the Caribbean coast, the beaches in Livingston are not the greatest. They are quite narrow and a poor gray color so you will need to take tour to Playa Blanca, Punta Manabique or the cayes in Belize to find anything like the photos in tourist brochures. However, the Playa Capitania (turn left off the Calle Principal by the OCG Internet café) and Playa Quehueche (by Vecchia Toscana and Hotel Ecológico Salvador Gaviota ) rarely get busy so you can always find a little strip of sand to relax on and the water away from town is clean and deep enough for at least a dip.
