Zapotillo Cayes - Beach Livingston - Guatemala

If you have a day to spare while in Livingston, but not the time to go to Belize itself, a trip to the Zapotillo Cayes, part of the Belize barrier Reef, is well worth the money ($50 plus $10 entry fee). Depending on the sea condition the journey out can take between one and two hours and once there you can snorkel in gorgeous turquoise clear seas around beautiful coral, spotting colorful fish and even nurse sharks, and relax on the white sand beaches (watch out for the biting sand flies). Trips typically include transport, lunch, equipment. There are no hotels here, as the islands are protected, but you are allowed to camp.
