This is a nice smart choice for the money, offering clean well-appointed and well-decorated rooms around a pleasant if a little cluttered courtyard. Bathrooms are tiled and clean and there is a good communal area to relax in. It is not on the water, but just a two minute walk uphill from the dock and its owners are helpful as long as you speak good Spanish.

We stayed here as part of a package deal from Ruta Maya in Antigua. The hotel picked us up in Rio Dulce and we had a good ride to Livingston. The room we had was fairly clean but the private bathroom was more like a cubicle as there was no ceiling in it so sounds traveled freely. The shower was downright dangerous! Hot water was provided by a 120 volt shower head heater that provided a nice shock while trying to adjust it. No such thing as GFI here! As part of our package the hotel was supposed to provide a private boat ride to Puerto Barrios the next day to continue our itinerary. Instead they decided to stick us with on a shared boat leaving an hour earlier than anticipated. Luckily we had a cellphone to inform our driver in Puerto Barrios of the change in plans.
This is a clean and reasonably priced hotel in a good location of Livingston, Guatemala. The staff is very friendly.
The right place for people looking for a clean, quiet place to relax and stay in the center of Livingson. Prices are affordeble for travelers on a budget. Internet access is available.
I agree with the last reviewer but management has changed since then and now the lady manager speaks English, so no problem for those of us who are a little challenged in the Spanish department. Not luxury, but it's hard to beat the value and the beds are comfortable.
