When To Go

Many travelers prefer to center their trips to Lívingston around the towns fiestas and festivals. The most popular is the Wanaragua Festival, which happens around Christmas and early January. Other popular holidays include Semana Santa, or Holy week, and Garifuna National Day on November 26th. Keep in mind the rainy season in this part of Guatemala is from mid-May to mid-October, making travel much more difficult (but not impossible).
