Getting Around

Puerto Barrios is a sprawling town and the restaurants and services of interest to travellers are spaced out. You can walk around but it does get hot in the midday heat so you can pick-up of the microbuses that ply the as and when the pass by. Taxis, touting for business drive around town all day long peeping their horns, so if you need a ride one shouldn’t be too far away. Mini buses for short distances group around the north-eastern corner of the market, at 9a calle and 7a Avenida.
