Río Lámpara

Around seven kilometres upstream from Livingston, in the shadow of Cerro San Gill (1267m/4157ft), is the Río Lámpara, a southern tributary of the Río Dulce. The lush green scenery and the slow pace of life around the water makes for either a relaxing boat ride as you continue on your journey or a great place to escape, especially if you have just come from buzzing Livingston. There are a small number of jungle retreats around here (see also Finca Tatín, on the nearby Río Tatín, a northern tributary of the Río Dulce) which provide, as well as an opportunity to slow down, access to the nature reserves

Other places nearby Río Lámpara : Jalapa, Mariscos, Rio Dulce, Lake Izabal, Estanzuela, Jutiapa, Livingston, El Castillo De San Felipe, Anguiatu and Around Puerto Barrios.
