At the junction with the road going to Tikal, La Casa de Don David will please travelers looking for comfort at an affordable price. They offer fifteen private rooms all with bathrooms. Most have air-conditioning and verandas with a view of the lake. Rates include a meal a day (breakfast, lunch or dinner) and Wi-Fi internet access. There is an open-air octagonal hammock hut for resting and reading after a long day of traveling. The friendly owner is very knowledgeable about the area and offers trips to Peten, Yaxha and other sites. The restaurant, open 6:30 a.m. – 9 p.m., serves international cuisine.
