Getting around

A minibus leaves El Remate for Tikal at 5:30 a.m., coming back from Tikal at 2 p.m. ($4 round trip). Alternatively, you can catch any regular buses passing through El Remate and going to Tikal. They charge $2.50. Central El Remate is small and walk-able but if you’re staying along the north road of the Lake you might want to rent a bike.
