An old-fashioned vintage lodge located beside the Jaguar Inn, this hotel can be good value for families despite the high prices. There are two double beds in every room, so a family of four can easily split the cost of the room. A large swimming pool sits in the center of the establishment, surrounded by thatch-roofed cabañas. The bungalows (cabañas) cost $30 more than the rooms. You can also choose to include breakfast and dinner, with an extra charge of $40 per day. For dinner, guests can choose from BBQ steak, fish, chicken and vegetarian food. Electricity stops at 10 p.m.

I only stayed at Tikal Inn Hotel for two nights, but had a great time! I enjoyed being able to go to the temples in the morning and again for sunset. Tikal is a must in your list of places you have to travel to. After hiking the pyramids, it was so comforting coming back to my hotel, and relaxing in the pool. Breakfast was excellent, with delicious coffee and yummy hotcakes. Their staff is so courteous! On my second day I got a swollen ankle, and they really cared when they saw me limping after hiking the whole day and brought ice in a plastic bag to heal my swollen ankle. Later the Assistant Manager brought the Menu to my room for me to choose and later brought dinner to my room. I really recommend this hotel
